Hello, my name is Michael Faulkner. In 2009, I was in a motor vehicle accident that left me as a quadriplegic. I have just learned that the wheelchair van that I own is starting to rust beyond repair due to the climate here in Illinois, United States. The floor in the van is completely rusted through in some spots; you can literally see daylight through it. The floor is bowed, and it is starting to affect the structural integrity of the van to the point it’s nearly unsafe to use. The passenger side sliding door, which has the wheelchair ramp, has a track so rusted you have to force the door open. I understand with everything being so expensive, it’s hard for most of us to get by every day.
