Help Nicole Fight Stage 3 Cancer and Support Her Family
Our incredible friend Nicole — a devoted mom, beloved daughter, loyal friend, and passionate colleague — recently received heartbreaking news. After her first routine colonoscopy in late May, Nicole was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer.
She underwent immediate surgery at Brigham and Women’s to remove the tumor and has been recovering with the constant love and support of her friends and family. Starting Monday, June 8, Nicole will begin intensive chemotherapy at Dana-Farber, marking the next critical phase of her fight.
Nicole is a dedicated Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) at the Brookline Public Schools, where she supports students with compassion, energy, and heart. She was abruptly pulled from work the week she was diagnosed and has been told she cannot return for the rest of the school year.
Normally, Nicole works not one but two additional jobs to support herself and her amazing son, Jack — a kind, funny, and bright high schooler at Sharon High. Every summer, she relies on a full-time job to help make ends meet. This summer, instead of working, she’ll be making countless trips to Boston for chemo, all while managing the toll the treatment takes on her body.
With medical bills already mounting, her deductible unmet, and no way to earn income this summer, Nicole needs our help. Donations will go toward:
- Life-saving treatment and medical bills
- Dozens of trips to Dana-Farber
- Medications and out-of-pocket costs
- Prepared meals during chemo
- Household and family expenses while she’s unable to work
Nicole is one of the most hard-working, generous, and positive people we know. Now, it’s our turn to rally around her.
Any amount helps — truly. Whether you’re able to donate, share this campaign, or simply send encouragement, we are so deeply grateful for your support.
With love and thanks,
Friends of Nicole
