Support Rick & Karla Cantu During Recovery
During what was meant to be a joyful vacation to Texas, Rick suffered an unexpected fall in New Mexico, resulting in a fracture. His recovery has been further complicated by his digestive system shutting down due to the effects of pain medication and immobility, keeping him in the hospital for over a week.
As Rick begins the long road to recovery—including therapy and six weeks of healing—Karla will be by his side to support him, as he is unable to bear weight on his leg. Unfortunately, this means both of them will be out of work for an extended period. While Karla has secured unpaid medical leave and will retain her job and benefits, the financial burden of missing a month of income is significant.
They are asking for help covering essential expenses for at least a couple months to ease the stress and focus fully on Rick’s healing.
