Hello, everyone.
I just had my second son on Friday, 06/06/25.
I know most of you don’t know, but I had a high-risk pregnancy and ended up needing to be admitted to the hospital to be monitored for over two weeks before they delivered my son, Rowan. There were issues with blood flow between the baby and the placenta, which caused significant growth restrictions. Because the blood flow issues continued to get worse, ultimately I had to be admitted to Saint Mary’s for close monitoring to make sure that Rowan was safe. They were able to hold off on delivering me until I reached exactly 32 weeks gestation. Rowan was born weighing about 2 pounds 14 ounces but is considered to be in less than the 10th percentile for growth when combined with his other measurements.
He has been admitted to the NICU and is considered to be in critical condition. They said he has RH disease because my blood type is negative and his blood type is positive. This caused my body to create antibodies which attacked his blood. He has to be closely monitored and had 2 nurses assigned to watch him at all times. They said he will likely be admitted to the NICU for at least 6 weeks. Due to this, I am trying to get accommodations so I can be close to the hospital during his stay in case something happens.
We are trying to raise money to help cover part of the cost of the medical bills, travel costs, and accommodations.
Thank you to everyone for all of your concerns, prayers, and support!
