Support Scott’s Fight Against MDS Leukemia

In January of this year, 2025, my husband Scott felt tired with no energy and we attributed it to getting older. In March we went to the first of three ER visits in our small town hospital here in California and was referred to Reno Nevada where Scott ended up with a diagnosis of Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) leukemia.

Scott was admitted into the Pennington Cancer Institute and began receiving daily blood transfusions and his first chemo. While in the hospital Scott had his 73rd birthday.

He has been discharged to home and now I drive him 280 miles round trip to Reno every other day so the cost of going back and forth is astronomical, therefore we need your help. Scott’s scheduled appointments coming up just through Aug 2nd number in 17 round trips and we don’t know how long this will continue along with other expenses such as vehicle maintenance, meals, and other medical unknown expenses.

Our ultimate goal is stem cell replacement which is the only cure for his leukemia. We are now just buying time with these appointments of treatment he is receiving. We have a long way to go to get to UC Davis to apply for stem cell.

I’m his wife Sandi and now his caregiver as well, we’ve been married June 16th for 52 years.

We know God has the perfect plan for us. We are asking also for prayer and looking to His leading.

Jer. 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future.”

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
