Hi, my name is Patrick Martin and I am doing this on behalf of my mom, Teri Martin. She has been through it with her kidneys. She is 63 and has dealt with blood pressure and kidney-related issues her whole life. When she was born, she had no valves on her kidneys. At 11, she had to have valves created for her kidneys. All of my childhood, I remember her having high blood pressure, and come to find out, there was a tumor on her adrenal gland on her kidneys. She did not find this out for years. When she had this taken care of, it fixed her high blood pressure problem, but the damage had already been done to her kidneys. This has caused her a world of issues, including but not limited to dialysis, hemodialysis, and more. There are days when she can’t get out of bed. There are days when she is just angry, but a lot of it has to do with the pain.
We are currently trying to raise money because she was placed on the transplant list and is in the number 1 position. Any day now she could get the call telling her she has a new kidney, but we need to come up with the money. The Georgia Transplant Foundation said they would match whatever we raised toward her having the surgery, but we just have to start raising. We appreciate anything that you are willing to give. Please don’t feel obligated, but we thank you sincerely if you do donate. God is in control, and we are giving it up to Him. Thank you, Lord, for the work you are going to do one way or another. Your will be done.
