Hi everyone, Amanda here.
Last week, I experienced a small fire in my apartment. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the fire itself wasn’t too extensive — but it did cause damage to some of my most-used and essential belongings. The main areas affected were my living room and kitchen.
Among the items lost were my work/school laptop, clothing, textbooks, and a few small appliances. There’s also significant smoke and water damage to other possessions, and while some things may be salvageable, the cleanup process is still ongoing and uncertain.
I’m hoping to raise $1,000 to help replace the following essentials:
A new laptop
Clothes and shoes
Groceries and food
Cleaning supplies and minor repairs
I’m not someone who finds it easy to ask for help, but after a long and stressful week, I’ve realized I can’t do this alone. Any support — whether through a donation or simply sharing this message — would mean the world to me and my family as we begin to rebuild and recover.
