If you know Zac, you know the fight he’s in — and the strength, humor, and heart he continues to show in the face of it.
Since December, Zac has endured more than most of us could imagine. A seizure that shattered 15 teeth and broke 3 vertebrae led to the discovery of glioblastoma, a devastating brain cancer. After surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, he was hit again in April when a new, inoperable tumor was found near his brainstem. It has permanently paralyzed the left side of his body and impacted his vision. He completed a 2nd round of radiation and will have an MRI in a few weeks.
Zac has been given a prognosis of 3 to 6 months to live — a reality that none of us were prepared for. We’re holding on tightly to hope for many more months… even years.
Zac would give anything for someone else. He’s spent years using his platform to help others — creating accessibility tools for blind and hearing-impaired streamers, adding captions to movie trailers, and running charity streams for children’s hospitals. He’s shown up for complete strangers simply because that’s who he is.
And in true Zac fashion, he’s met all of this with his signature sense of humor. His personal motto says it all: “I’m not terminally ill — I’m terminally chill.” Even in the darkest moments, Zac continues to bring light, laughter, and perspective to everyone around him.
Our family is helping Zac as much as we possibly can — emotionally, physically, and financially — but the reality is that his needs are mounting quicker than we can keep up with. We’ve asked for help before, and we’re grateful for every bit of support you’ve given
We’re doing one big, final rally for Zac — to give him the peace of mind he deserves and the care he needs.
Zac wants to maintain his dignity and remain in the apartment he shares with his girlfriend, who loves and cares for him deeply. We truly couldn’t ask for a better person to be by his side.
Your donations will go toward:
• Ongoing medical bills and final expenses
• Medical transportation and out-of-pocket treatment costs
• Adaptive equipment and aids to improve comfort and independence
• Living expenses, support for Zac to remain safely and comfortably at home including relocation to a 1st floor apartment
• Support during palliative care, helping us ensure his time is as full of love and ease as possible
We want Zac’s time left, however long that may be, to reflect everything he’s brought to this world: kindness, laughter, and connection. Thank you for being a part of that.
With love and gratitude,
Zac’s Family
