My name is Tiffany Spurling, and I’ve lived in Plant City, Florida nearly my entire life. I’m a mother, a sister, a friend—and like so many women in their 40s, I’ve spent most of my years putting others first.
Earlier this year, I underwent a major abdominal surgery to address long-standing health issues that had gradually affected my ability to work and live normally. The procedure was necessary, but the recovery has proven more difficult than expected.
While the doctors are optimistic about my long-term prognosis, the immediate reality is that I am currently unable to return to work. As a result, I’m facing mounting bills and no reliable income for the next several months.
Why I’m Reaching Out
I’ve always managed to get by with hard work and resourcefulness. But recovery is teaching me something I’ve never been good at: asking for help.
This campaign is to help me cover essential living expenses while I heal—things like utilities, basic groceries, medication, and rent. I’m not asking for luxury, just a little breathing room to get back on my feet without risking eviction or debt that would undo years of progress.
How the Funds Will Be Used
My fundraising goal is $3,200, which covers roughly two and a half months of core expenses while I recover:
Rent and utilities: $1,750
Medication and follow-up appointments: $600
Basic groceries and transportation: $850
I have every intention of returning to work once I’m medically cleared. In fact, I’ve already started looking at part-time options I can transition into as my energy returns.
A Final Word
There’s never a convenient time to get sick, and I never imagined being in a position to ask for public support. But here I am, doing what I can to stay afloat and move forward with dignity.
If you’ve ever been in a situation where life knocked you down at the wrong time, you’ll understand how far even a little kindness can go.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for believing in second chances.
