With all my dignity lost, I am starting this fundraiser.
As most of you know, I wrecked my Yukon Monday night.
I broke my ribs, sternum, hip, and my back. I also had a spleen bleed, damaged my urinary tract, and damaged my duodenum.
I am awaiting surgery on my hip; they are placing a rod to stabilize me. Everything else has to heal on its own.
After surgery, plans are to move me to a rehab facility for a few weeks, then finally home.
The car is insured, and my medical bills should be somewhat covered. My income is what will be taking a hit.
I have no PTO. I’m a mom of 3 kids who are always sick, and I did not sign up for the temporary disability like a ding ding this year.
Ryan is going to start working more overtime. Something that he does not have to do considering our current situation, but something I am grateful for.
As crazy as my life has been, God has truly never left me, and I firmly believe He will get me and my family through this mess as well.
As I lay in this bed, seriously with all dignity gone—I just had my first sponge bath, and it was from a complete stranger—I just want to ask everyone to slow down in this life. Life is too precious and too short.
